Shetland, however, has something big in store for 2022, by holding its first ever Pride Festival. The dates have been set for the weekend 2nd and 3rd July 2022.
It promises to be an amazing celebration of not just Shetland’s LGBTQ community but also for national and international visitors alike.
No trip to Shetland would be complete without visiting the North Isles. There are three very distinct islands that make up this island group: Fetlar, Unst and Yell. Each one has something to offer and I would recommend visiting all three.

You can travel to Shetland either by ferry or you can fly from all major cities in Scotland.
